Quilting Application Reminder

How are your quilts, aprons and potholders coming along for the 2018 Show? It has been great weather for sewing this winter. Perfect temperatures–subzero and brisk winds! Perfect for staying inside and working on your entries!

We are excited to have categories for Aprons and Potholders this year. The apron can be any style and can be for an adult (male or female) or for a child. The potholders can be any style and any size. Maybe use your imagination and create a potholder in the shape of a tractor!

In case you need inspiration here are some web sites:

https://so-sew-easy.com/200-free-apon-patterns/

https://www.allfreesewing.com/Dining-and-Kitchen/10-Kitchen-Projects-How-to-MakePotholders.

Don’t forget to look for patterns at your local quilt shop too.

There are 3 size categories for the quilts. Bed Quilts must be at least 80 inches in length and width but can be larger than this as well. Lap and Crib Quilts must be at least 60 inches in length and 30 inches in width.  Miniature Quilts are any quilt that measures less than 30 inches. If you are not sure which category your quilt should be in or have questions, please either email or call one of the chairpersons.

There is no requirement to use Allis-Chalmers fabric in any of the entries this year. You may use it, if you wish to do so. There will be prizes awarded for judged entries as in previous years. There will also be a division for non-judged entries as well.

Good Luck to everyone and we hope to see lots of entries!
